Every project is impacted by the subsurface conditions at that individual project's site. The ability to understand the potential impacts of those conditions is the key to a successful project. This presentation will provide an overview of various geotechnical challenges associated with roadway projects, including how geotechnical items specifically relate to structural design, site development, environmental permitting, stormwater management, pavement design, and construction sequencing.
