Why?
For a presentation by the Washington DC Chapter of the US Green Building Council. Ms. Christine Brazill, PE, LEED AP will be our guest speaker. She is a member of the Washington, DC Chapter's Board of
Directors. Topics will include the history of the USGBC and the local USGBC-NCR Chapter, current and past initiatives and projects of the USGBC and USGBC-NCR Chapter, what is Leadership in Energy
and Environmental Design (LEED), LEED Project Certification, and LEED Professional Accreditation. In addition, we will also have elections for the 2008-2009 YMF's Officers and Committee Chairs.

What?
National Rebuilding Day is held every year in the month of April, and is the culmination of volunteer
rebuilding events leading up to the last weekend of that month throughout communities in the United States.
That event day is a very special day, when over one thousand local volunteers give of their time to help families
with home repairs they couldn't afford or would be unable to physically perform.
When?
Saturday, April 28th from 7:30/8:00am - Mid Afternoon
Why?
Because as Civil Engineers, we have excellent building skills, and it's to share them! You will need to bring your own tools
and safety equipment (we will coordinate the required tools as we get closer to the date). Oh yeah, breakfast AND lunch
will be provided.
